Not only the knowledge about the secrets of trading ensure success but also an excellent knowledge in the field of shipbuilding, types of ships, running a ship, nautical science, readiness to take risks, and last but not least being informed about the political and economical situation of the world were absolutely essential for the running of a shipping firm. In the single-player mode it is the aim of your game to be included in the "List of the Best" after a certain number of years. In the multi- player mode there is the possibility of a "knockout" victory if all competitors have been eliminated. Winning can also be defined as the player who has the strongest company after the end of playing time.
