Xbox Game Pass is teaming up with another subscription service this week, albeit one that appeals to a niche section of gamers. Facebook parent group Meta and Xbox have announced that a starter edition of Xbox Game Pass is now available to Meta Horizon+ subscribers, giving them access to over 50 games via cloud streaming. Games can also be downloaded directly from the cloud and onto a Meta Quest headset, and the starting lineup includes a mix of AAA hits and classic indies. The Binding of Isaac: Repentance + Online has revealed a release date and it's one you probably have marked on your calendar. The package, a collection of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and all previously released add-ons, arrives 19th November on consoles -exactly the same day as Grand Theft Auto 6. Read more

Earlier this year, publisher Deep Silver and developer 4A Studios published a blog post outlining its vision for Metro 2039. The studio revealed the game - being developed primarily in Ukraine amid the continued Russian invasion - is darker and focuses on the "cost of silence, the horrors of tyranny, and the price of freedom". How could it not be? The developers turn up to work every day not knowing if the power will go out, if they will have to take cover from a drone strike, if they will be able to see their loved ones that evening, or eat hot food when they get home.
