Descend into the abyss, navigate the dungeon, collect cards for your custom loadout, and fight monsters in turn-based combat. Death is only the beginning—use Rebirth to gain permanent attributes that scale everything you do, and dive back in to try again.

Bungie Reportedly Considered Relaunching Destiny as 'Destiny Infinity' Before Deciding to Pull the Plug on Destiny 2
Bungie's issues with its storied sci-fi shooter, Destiny 2, began around the time of the last summer's Edge of Fate expansion, which reportedly underperformed. The decision to pull the plug was allegedly made "earlier this year" after it decided not to relaunch the franchise as "Destiny Infinity."
