XR glasses like the Viture Beast have been around for a few years now, but I always saw them as kind of a gimmick. Back when the original Legion Go handheld came out, I tried Lenovo’s first try at the Legion Glasses, and while they were definitely neat, they were fiddly and just ended up giving me a headache. But a lot has changed in the last few years. The Viture Beast XR glasses deliver the feeling of a gaming headset, but for your eyes. The 1200p combined display looks crisp, and the speakers embedded in the stems, or temples, are good enough that I don’t feel the need to dig out headphones

The magic of 007 First Light is in the bluff. When IO Interactive's young James Bond is caught out yet again trying to sneak through some restricted area, he has numerous ways to resolve the situation. Gadgets. Fists. Guns. Whatever's lying on the nearest surface. But the most novel, and in some ways most satisfying, is simply to blag it. Pressing Circle (on PlayStation) will cause Bond to blurt out some impeccably improvised lie, stunning guards into second-guessing their suspicions and opening a brief window for Bond to slip by. Video game developers love to leave Easter eggs behind for longtime fans, and in 007 First Light, IO Interactive has resurrected one of its oldest jokes. Dating all the way back to 2006's Hitman: Blood Money, IO has regularly slipped in an inside joke revolving around Allan and his inability to add details to in-game assets. The tradition is alive and well in 007 First Light, cementing Allan's post-it note legacy.
