Call of Duty reenters the extraction genre.

DMZ mode returns for Modern Warfare 4, bringing back Call of Duty's take on the "high-risk for high-reward" extraction shooter genre. Infinity Ward is expanding on the features from the original DMZ, and Modern Warfare 4 includes a new "GTA-like" Wanted system, making it a lot riskier to play loud. DMZ's Hajin map is a hostile territory, where players want to loot and make a successful extraction with all their valuables and gear. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 was officially announced today, and it'll be releasing in October. Prior to its full launch, however, the game will have an open beta, and as per usual, you're going to have an opportunity to get in early. The open beta was confirmed via a post on the official Call of Duty blog, but Activision went short of saying exactly when the beta will be.
