The rumors about a new God of War game proved to be true during Sony's latest State of Play event. That's why the reveal of God of War Laufey wasn't unexpected. What was a surprise was its cubic, talking, gelatin-like companion character, Phranque (as voiced by The Boys' Jack Quaid), is the character who turned out to be the breakout star of State of Play. Sony’s big State of Play announcement was God of War Laufey, the next game in Sony Santa Monica’s God of War franchise due out exclusively for PlayStation 5. While the fact the game would focus on Faye as opposed to Kratos had leaked months before the showcase, it’s fair to say Sony’s 20 minute gameplay reveal sparked a vociferous reaction across the internet.

Frontier Developments has announced Planet Zoo 2, which will include the ability to add flying and aquatic animals in aviaries and aquariums for the first time.

Marathon is attempting to broaden its playerbase with new offerings, such as a PVE-only mode.

We already knew it was coming thanks to a brisk tease and subsequent announcement last year, but it looks like a proper Planet Zoo 2 unveiling could be imminent if an update to the series' official YouTube page is any indication. Read more
