Dead by Daylight is now 10 years old and has been played by 70 million players worldwide, making it one of the older and most successful live-service games--and horror games--ever made. The asymmetrical horror multiplayer game has been leading the pack since its debut, helping popularize the genre that has grown into a (haunted) cottage industry over the course of that decade. The upcoming Dead by Daylight movie will be helmed by Icelandic film director Thordur Palsson (The Damned, The Valhalla Murders), using a screenplay from Alexandre Aja and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.

Dead by Daylight's next chapter, Chorus of Sin, is a "community-driven" event that kicks off at the end of August, but you can start playing it up to a month early by winning yourself an early-access code. Starting July 30, Dead by Daylight content creators will stream the new Chorus of Sin chapter on Twitch, and tuning in for at least an hour will place you in a drawing that will randomly select winners. Those lucky players will receive Steam codes via email to play the next chapter ahead of its August 25 public date. It'll even get you in before the private test build launches on August 5. T
