The Fable reboot from Playground Games was planned for release this year, but Microsoft delayed it to February 2027, and the reason for the delay was to give the game the attention it deserves. That's according to Playground GM Ralph Fulton, who told GamesRadar that there was "a little bit of disappointment" when the game was delayed because the studio was "gunning" for a 2026 release.
