Activision and Infinity Ward have confirmed dates for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta tests across PC, Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox devices.

DMZ mode returns for Modern Warfare 4, bringing back Call of Duty's take on the "high-risk for high-reward" extraction shooter genre. Infinity Ward is expanding on the features from the original DMZ, and Modern Warfare 4 includes a new "GTA-like" Wanted system, making it a lot riskier to play loud. DMZ's Hajin map is a hostile territory, where players want to loot and make a successful extraction with all their valuables and gear. Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is expected to be one of 2026's biggest game releases alongside GTA 6, and the company is expected to go all-out with its marketing and promotion campaign for it.
