Disney+ has a pretty varied lineup for July, but most of it is geared toward adults. The main highlights are the long anticipated return of X-Men ‘97, some new episodes of The Simpsons, and a new Dancing With the Stars spin-off. Disney+ will also be streaming The ESPYS, a special 4th of July event, and Lollapalooza. At the very least, everyone can enjoy something in the long list of premieres arriving for SharkFest, which is happening a couple of weeks before the Discovery Channel’s Shark Week. While Disney+ hasn’t announced anything new from the worlds of the MCU or Star Wars, there are still plenty of big additions coming to the service in June.

Disney Plus is releasing a documentary drama hosted by Loki's Tom Hiddleston about the destruction of Pompeii.

The biannual Disney D23 expo is back in 2026, and amidst a stacked schedule of panels highlighting the films, TV series, and music of the company, there'll also be a closer look at Disney's video games. Running from August 14-16, Disney has teased an "exclusive preview" on the first day of the show, as the Disney Entertainment Showcase will feature games amongst announcements for movies, television, and live stage productions.  Disney has dropped details on two of its games, confirming that there'll be a panel celebrating the 25th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts.
