Select from different races and combat classes, customize your appearance, choose your character’s backstory and begin your journey as Rook, Dragon Age’s newest hero. Select from three classes (Warrior, Mage, and Rogue), each with two distinct weapon types and unique abilities you can select between mid-combat. Experience new strategic depth as you combine fast-paced attacks, parries, and dodges with the companion ability wheel to exploit enemy weaknesses and seize victory with devastating combat combos. The Veilguard contains several different factions, any of these could prove to be important ally during the story. Your faction choice will influence Rook's backstory, conversation options and more.

Following the poor commercial performance of 2024's Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Dragon Age creator David Gaider has said he believes developer BioWare's beloved fantasy RPG series is likely dead. But if some twist of fate ever meant he had the opportunity to work on a new one - despite no longer being at BioWare - he'd be interested in taking it in a "dark and dangerous" direction, and do with it "things that will make people upset". House of the Dragon Season 3, Episode 3 Recap and Review
Seasoned Westeros watchers will see potential problems arising with each scene of this episode. Everywhere Rhaenyra turns there’s someone looking for a piece of her (rodent bites both literal and figurative). Any one of these requests could be key to her undoing, and it’s very clear that she’s navigating a dangerous path. From the impossibly cool pre-opening credits scene to Rhaenyra ultimately swearing to burn all who stand against her, this episode moves almost too fast to track; no wonder Rhaenyra dissociates as she sits on her uncomfortable throne.
