Techland's open-world zombie game Dying Light: The Beast is apparently too beefy for previous-generation hardware.

Dying Light: The Beast was released last year for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with developer Techland promising a last-gen version of the game as well. That's no longer the case, as the studio says it has made the "difficult decision" to cancel the PS4 and Xbox One versions, due to the game's visuals being too advanced for those systems to handle. I even like the unconventional name and appreciate developer Metanet Software's continued embrace of the N name first used for its original Flash creation more than two decades ago. But it's also a name that comes with some issues, perhaps best demonstrated by the game's name on Steam being followed by "(NPLUSPLUS)." It sounds like the upcoming Marvel Blade game from Deathloop developer Arkane Lyon could be no more. Marvel's Blade was unveiled during The Game Awards 2023, and when it was said this would be an original story for the half-human, half-vampire, as he takes on "a supernatural emergency" in the streets of Paris.
