Echoes of a Thread

Echoes of Aincrad is a half-step in the right direction for games based on Sword Art Online.

It's almost time for another Sword Art Online RPG.

Massive Entertainment, developers of Tom Clancy's The Division 2, announced a new DLC for the long-running online action-RPG/third-person shooter at a community panel at Gamescom. The new expansion is called Echoes of Central Park, and a full reveal will happen on September 24.

While I can definitely see it working well solo, playing with two other players in real time is where 1001 Threads of Mizan really shines. There were no multiplayer quick time events or big flashy mid-fight cutscenes that triggered when everyone did a specific thing, but there were definitely moments where all three of us needed to attack a single weak point, or work together to defeat various obstacles at once in different areas during the boss fight. I'm very interested to see how this fusion of single-player and co-op works throughout the game.

Warner Bros. Games and HBO have released a new Game of Thrones game. Game of Thrones: Dragonfire is a free-to-play mobile game based on the prequel series House of the Dragon. A strategy game set 172 years before Daenerys Targaryen was born, Dragonfire is developed by Warner Bros. Games Boston and takes inspiration from events from the TV series.
