Escape from Thunder Island

The push-your-luck dice rolling can be fun with the right group, but One Piece: Escape from Egghead stumbles due to ambiguous rules, questionable designs, and mechanics that break at different player counts.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay didn’t just break the licensed-game curse, it was a bona fide Game of the Year contender on Xbox that year (it was won by a little game called Halo 2 that released in November of that year).

Garfield: Escape From Monday just got a new trailer, one that affirms that the platformer isn't delaying to avoid a busy September.

Effectively capturing the vibes of Garfield can be a real challenge to pull off well, but Garfield: Escape from Monday is shaping up to be a worthy addition to the lovable slacker’s library of interactive adventures. Much like the recent Bubsy 4D, Escape from Monday is pretty familiar when it comes to the structure and formula, but that’s seemingly by design, as recapturing the fun of 3D platformers from a simpler time is very much in style these days.
