When it comes to the movie version of The Odyssey, writer/director Christopher Nolan goes in very different direction than Homer's source material – and the final scene(s) of the movie finally pull back and outright state what the film is really about.

Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey movie adapts Homer through a new eye that brings a sense of horror and existential angst to the story – and some humor too. It may not be a perfect movie, but it’s a pretty great moviegoing experience all the same.

A survival sailing adventure game, The Odyssey: Defy the Gods, is out now on Roblox, and it's free. Players will assemble a crew, ration supplies, and "appease the gods for the right of safe passage" across the ocean. In the game, players will scavenge mysterious worlds to find food and crew that have gone missing.
