With no new content for Destiny 2 and Marathon's continued development, the future of Bungie has never been more uncertain

PlayStation's highly-anticipated State of Play event was flooded by demands for Destiny 3.

So, Destiny 2 is dying and it might take most of Bungie with it. I have spoken at length about how a continued prioritisation of the bottom-line over a loyal playerbase, and forward-thinking staff, has ravaged the very soul of the game. For many of us the writing feels like it's been on the walls since as early as 2023. Over 300,000 people have signed a petition asking Sony to greenlight Destiny 3, but got no announcement at today's State of Play.

We're finally getting some much needed improvements. It's just a shame about the timing.
