Microsoft has announced a delay to its upcoming Fable reboot, which will now launch in February 2027.

At Summer Game Fest today, Xbox's new chief strategy officer Matthew Ball spoke about some of the company's big moves recently, including its strategy on exclusives and what's next for the company in the hardware space with Project Helix. Fable has officially been delayed to February 2027, Xbox has confirmed. Originally scheduled to release in late 2026, the next game from Forza Horizon 6 developer Playground Games has instead been shifted to Q1 2027. This story is developing.
