The makers of the critically acclaimed spinoff, Fallout New Vegas, are returning to Bethesda's franchise with a new post-apocalyptic game

Bethesda Softworks is bringing back two fan-favorite Fallout games with Fallout 3 Remastered and Fallout: New Vegas Remastered.

In a statement today, Bethesda re-confirmed that Fallout 5 is in the works, along with officially confirming remasters of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. These projects are in the works alongside Obsidian's new Fallout game, so there are a lot of Fallout games coming. Obsidian Entertainment--the developer behind Grounded, The Outer Worlds, and Avowed--will reportedly shift strategies to work on a new Fallout game. That means that a planned Avowed sequel and other unannounced projects will get shelved in the process, according to Bloomberg. It's unclear whether this new Fallout game from Obsidian will be Fallout 5 or a spin-off similar to New Vegas.
