Far Away, Pixel Horror

First-person horror games are some of our favorite kind, as they bring the scary stuff right in front of your character's eyes. In Black Lake, developer Polydin Studio ups that ante by setting this spooky psychological/survival horror game not just in an abandoned orphanage in search of your missing twin sister, but one that's abandoned and floating at sea. It's in development for PC and consoles.

In contrast to the snowy, mountainous landscape of the first game, Until Dawn 2 is set on a tropical island, but still involves a set of horny young people getting hacked and slashed. Just like the first game, it's a cinematic, choice-based horror game where your decisions affect who lives and dies. Santa Barbara Games, a new developer comprised of former Bethesda, Riot, EA, and other talent, has announced its first game: Voidwood, a 1-4-player fantasy co-op survival horror game with a decidedly Studio Ghibli-esque art style. In it, you and your friends play as children lost in a cursed forest, scavenging for supplies and crafting tools by day in order to survive and escape at night when The Beast, an unkillable monstrous force, is unleashed.
