Final Fantasy Resonance: Digital Deluxe Edition

Final Fantasy Resonance feels like it’s walking a tightrope between being a loving tribute to Final Fantasies past while also taking the series into a cool new direction and telling its own story. Is it going to pull it off? We’ll have to wait and see, but I was very impressed by the hour I spent playing it. From the gorgeous HD-2D aesthetic to the awesome soundtrack and a battle system that can hold its own, Resonance looks like it’s doing all the right stuff.

We already knew that Final Fantasy 7 Revelation was going to launch sometime in 'spring 2027', but today director Naoki Hamaguchi took to Sony's State of Play livestream to inform us all that the game has a locked-in release date: 8th April, 2027. It'll launch worldwide, and on all platforms - that's PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, and PC - at the same time (the first game in the series to do so). Read more
