First Blood: Persian Legends

At Anime Expo, Crunchyroll gave attendees a first look at the characters that will appear in the anime adaptation of the PlayStation game Ghost of Tsushima and, specifically, its Legends multiplayer mode. The art showed the Assassin, Ronin and Hunter characters that the story's protagonist, one of the last remaining samurai, will meet on his journey. The character design is the work of Takashi Okazaki, best known for creating Afro Samurai. I'm not always fond of the constant remaking of games that don't necessarily need a remake, especially if it's not going to be a fundamental rethinking of the source material. And taking a distinct, somewhat whimsical 2D art style and making it denser in 3D doesn't automatically make it look "better" per se. But I think Rayman Legends Retold is just imaginative enough to separate itself from the original.

In the pantheon of the Persona series, its fourth entry is held in high regard, and time will tell if Persona 4 Revival will prove to be the best of the bunch. The little bit I got to see is at least making it a pretty strong contender for that award, and it still very much feels like Persona 4. But anyone who has played it before knows it’s a very long game, so we will have to wait and see whether it's worth tuning in for or changing the channel.

There have been a lot of different Pokémon games released on the Nintendo Switch over the years but my favorite so far has been Pokémon Legends: Z-A. It felt like the most refined gameplay experience and runs especially well if you get the Switch 2 edition. IGN gave the game a solid 8 out of 10 review when it was first released last year and I highly recommend playing it if you're a fan of the series.As it's one of the most recent Pokémon game and one of the only titles to get a dedicated Switch 2 edition, there haven't really been any good discounts on physical copies of the game

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is a blast once you've mastered bending, but it doesn't make it easy to get there.
