Fans think Gears of War: E-Day could be coming as soon as September, because of a WWE teaser.

Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski has laid out a vision for a new game that he says is essentially "John Wick meets Carrie by way of Lovecraft Country."Posting online, the retired game developer said he still wants to make this game, which he is calling "Hollow Point." The game would take place in a "rustic New England town" during the fall, and that's familiar ground for Bleszinski as he was born and raised in the area.Hollow Point would be a two-player game. Player 1 would be an ex-Marine "with all the guns/boom stuff," while Player 2 would be a young woman with psychic/telekinesis power

Sony’s big State of Play announcement was God of War Laufey, the next game in Sony Santa Monica’s God of War franchise due out exclusively for PlayStation 5. While the fact the game would focus on Faye as opposed to Kratos had leaked months before the showcase, it’s fair to say Sony’s 20 minute gameplay reveal sparked a vociferous reaction across the internet.

The rumors about a new God of War game proved to be true during Sony's latest State of Play event. That's why the reveal of God of War Laufey wasn't unexpected. What was a surprise was its cubic, talking, gelatin-like companion character, Phranque (as voiced by The Boys' Jack Quaid), is the character who turned out to be the breakout star of State of Play.
