What was a surprise was its cubic, talking, gelatin-like companion character, Phranque (as voiced by The Boys' Jack Quaid), is the character who turned out to be the breakout star of State of Play. God of War Laufey stars Kratos' dead wife as she fights her way through the afterlife.

Dave Bautista is reportedly taking over for Ryan Hurst as the new Kratos in Amazon's God of War TV show for Prime Video.

God of War Laufey was only just announced, but already fans of the series have theories about what will happen, and they don't sound too far-fetched.

Sony’s big State of Play announcement was God of War Laufey, the next game in Sony Santa Monica’s God of War franchise due out exclusively for PlayStation 5. While the fact the game would focus on Faye as opposed to Kratos had leaked months before the showcase, it’s fair to say Sony’s 20 minute gameplay reveal sparked a vociferous reaction across the internet.
