Let It Happen

With the industry in flux, will Rockstar's big one create more chaos or calm things down? Probably neither.

There's something about September when it comes to Nintendo Direct events. The company behind Mario, Link, and Donkey Kong has held special livestreams during that month in nine out of the past 10 years. The only exception is 2024, but even then, there was a Nintendo Direct on August 27 (an Indie World Showcase alongside Partner Showcase). With that sort of history, a Nintendo Direct seems very likely to occur next month. For starters, there are two big elephants in the room: release dates for The Duskbloods and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. Both are slated to come out this year
