The game features characters from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Magic Knight Rayearth, Cardcaptor Sakura, Slayers, and Mahoujin Guru Guru. A stand-alone version of the base game and previous expansions was published by Area-Zero as Magical Battle Arena: Complete.

It appears that someone over at Wizards of the Coast has collected the Infinity Stones and snapped their fingers because all of the Marvel sets--past, and future--are making their way to Magic: Arena."We're thrilled to announce that Magic: The Gathering x Marvel Super Heroes and all past and future Marvel sets will be coming to MTG Arena," the press release stated.
