Mojang's blocky sandbox game is currently inaccessible--a rarity for Minecraft. The last major widespread Minecraft outage was in October 2025, when the global Microsoft Azure cloud disruption affected services, including Minecraft authentication and Xbox Live. Minecraft Dungeons II is set for release in September, according to a store page for the game on Nintendo's website that seemingly went live too early. Nintendo's website lists a September 29 release date for the sequel, and a $30 price point. The Minecraft social media pages have not posted about Dungeons II today, instead sharing a Backrooms meme.
