Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance

Capcom has confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds is in development for Nintendo Switch 2.

Remember those rumours of a Nintendo Switch 2 port of Monster Hunter Wilds that wouldn't quite go away? Dataminers believed they've discovered evidence that Monster Hunter Wilds could be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 at the start of the year – and then again in February – and now it seems they were right: Monster Hunter Wilds is indeed coming to Nintendo Switch 2. A year and a half after launch, and ahead of the Ascendance expansion, Capcom has released a Monster Hunter Wilds demo on console and PC.

We know that we're getting Monster Hunter Wilds' first expansion, Ascendance, at sometime in 2027. Initially, we were expecting to see more about the game at either Gamescom 2026, but it seems we'll have to wait until later this month to see more about the expansion during Tokyo Game Show, instead.
