Everyone loves to make fun of their awkward love scenes, but the Star Wars prequel trilogy wouldn't work without them

Of the multitude of unusual characters that are playable in FIFA Heroes, there are some new additions that are absolutely my favorites. Dreamworks Animation's Shrek enters the fray as part of the new season pass, and I cannot stop giggling. There's something pretty wonderful about watching the giant green ogre play a cross in to Messi, who passes it to Puss in Boots to finish. Video games like Her Story, Fez, and Tunic beg the player to take detailed notes to keep track of the story. But journaling or note-taking games are part of a long tradition that goes back to the game manuals of the 80s and 90s. Back in the day, games like The Legend of Zelda had incredibly beautiful, detailed manuals that helped the player navigate difficult puzzles and learn about lore, when memory on consoles was short. Polygon's Clayton Ashley details the history of taking notes in games, and some of his recent favorites that continue the tradition.

Orbitals is developer Shapefarm’s first original IP game, with the goal of making a “retro anime experience for two,” as said by creative director Marcos Ramos, Orbitals’ pedigree is exceptionally promising. Jacob Lungden, Orbitals’ game director, worked as level designer and senior level designer on Hazelight’s A Way Out, It Takes Two, and Split Fiction–all well-liked two-player co-op games.
