A fan recreating Ocarina of Time has scrapped the project, citing fears of "Nintendo ninjas" following the official announcement of the Switch 2 remake. According to IGN, YouTuber CryZENx pulled the plug on their The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time PC recreation after at least a decade of working on it. In a blog post on their official Patreon, CryZENx told their community that the "Ocarina of Time project [has] officially stopped."
