Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition

Rayman Legends Retold is a full remake of Ubisoft's 2013 platformer, complete with a new world and a revamped art style.

I'm not always fond of the constant remaking of games that don't necessarily need a remake, especially if it's not going to be a fundamental rethinking of the source material. And taking a distinct, somewhat whimsical 2D art style and making it denser in 3D doesn't automatically make it look "better" per se. But I think Rayman Legends Retold is just imaginative enough to separate itself from the original.

Ubisoft seems to have another leak problem, as what appears to be a remastered version of Rayman Origins has appeared on the Xbox Store – and it's only $2,000.

Ubisoft reveals why it decided to revive Rayman by remaking the most recent game in the series, rather than starting from the first one.
