Return to the Roots is an open source fan remake of The Settlers II. With a completely rewritten game engine 'RttR' aims to support modern hardware and operating systems and extend the original The Settlers II with features such as a multiplayer mode via internet. You will need an original "The Settlers 2 Gold Edition" version to play as Return To The Roots uses the original sounds and graphics.
