Evil Dead Burn packs gruesome kills and stylish filmmaking, but its attempt to unite every era of the franchise falls flat.

Evil Dead Burn is easily the most violent and oppressive Evil Dead movie yet, and even with the occasional gruesome highs of the horror on screen, this one manages to feel too similar to its predecessors while also leaving out some of the essential elements of Sam Raimi's beloved horror franchise.

Attendees at IGN Live 2026 were treated to an exclusive sneak peek at Evil Dead Burn. And, yikes, this scene certainly puts the “burn” in Evil Dead Burn. Cheers!
