Sega and Lionsgate have announced that their long-in-development Streets of Rage movie has just picked up Jeymes Samuel as director and Pat Casey and Josh Miller as writers.

A movie based on Sega's Streets of Rage video game has been in the works for years, and now the latest development has unfolded. John Wick creator Derek Kolstad is no longer writing the movie, with Sonic the Hedgehog writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller taking over. Additionally, Jeymes Samuel is now attached to direct the movie.
