France and Saudi Arabia have agreed to build a $7 billion theme outside Paris. It will be inspired by manga like Dragon Ball Z.

With its gorgeous black and white, hand drawn art and heavily influenced 1980s tabletop RPG stylings, The Secret of Weepstone is the kind of game I would make... if I had any idea how to make games.

Video games are great, that's why we're here! But some things about video games are greater than others. And so in the spirit of Eurogamer's Optimism Week - a chance to reflect on just how special the medium can be, at a time it isn't always easy to remember - we thought we'd switch tack; moving away from the big things, to the little things. Not the series we love, or the games we can't get enough of, but those strange, weird, little video gaming moments that, for us at least, spark joy. Everyone's gotta eat.

If you haven’t played South Park: The Stick of Truth, it is absolutely not too late. The graphics look exactly like the show, so they haven’t really aged at all. In fact, as a 12-hour RPG, The Stick of Truth is like playing a long season of the show. Parker and Stone’s fingerprints are all over this thing, with Obsidian’s game-building and genre expertise underpinning the whole thing. I dare you not to laugh hysterically at the Underpants Gnome boss fight, the scene with Mr. Slave, the Canada section, and so many more.
