Sony’s big State of Play announcement was God of War Laufey, the next game in Sony Santa Monica’s God of War franchise due out exclusively for PlayStation 5. While the fact the game would focus on Faye as opposed to Kratos had leaked months before the showcase, it’s fair to say Sony’s 20 minute gameplay reveal sparked a vociferous reaction across the internet.

The rumors about a new God of War game proved to be true during Sony's latest State of Play event. That's why the reveal of God of War Laufey wasn't unexpected. What was a surprise was its cubic, talking, gelatin-like companion character, Phranque (as voiced by The Boys' Jack Quaid), is the character who turned out to be the breakout star of State of Play. Asus has just announced the ROG Xbox Ally X20. This new handheld gaming PC is basically the same as the original Xbox Ally X, only with a 7.4-inch 120Hz OLED display, which should be a big improvement over the LCD-equipped Xbox Ally.
