With no new content for Destiny 2 and Marathon's continued development, the future of Bungie has never been more uncertain

PlayStation's highly-anticipated State of Play event was flooded by demands for Destiny 3.

Hosting a Sony State of Play broadcast not even two weeks after announcing that the next Destiny 2 update will be its last was always going to attract attention from the soon-to-be alienated player base. However, it's the week of Summer Game Fest, so it's pretty unavoidable. As early as three hours prior to the broadcast beginning, there were almost 6,000 viewers waiting in the chat, with comments ranging from "Save Destiny!" through to "We Want Destiny 3" already popping up. So, Destiny 2 is dying and it might take most of Bungie with it. I have spoken at length about how a continued prioritisation of the bottom-line over a loyal playerbase, and forward-thinking staff, has ravaged the very soul of the game.
