All of the cyberpunk media that Cyberpunk 2077 is based on features wet and wild weather. But where does that come from? We examine the wetness of cyberpunk as a whole, and assess whether Cyberpunk 2077 lives up to the legacy of wetness established in films like Blade Runner.

Overwatch's next hero is a dual-wielding cyberpunk demon named Shion, developer Blizzard has revealed, and she looks like she's ripped straight from Cyberpunk 2077. Shion is billed as "the most terrifying elder of the Hashimoto Clan," a Japanese criminal family that has ties to the global terrorist organization Talon and is behind the assassination of Sojiro Shimada, the father of Hanzo and Genji. That should make for some interesting story developments between the two brothers and Shion, with Kiriko and Mizuki also shown in artwork for the new season and presumably set to play a role as well.

There's no shortage of video game soundtracks that you can boot up and enjoy these days, but few can compare to Mick Gordon's work on 2016's Doom and 2020's Doom Eternal. Each soundtrack has a raw, unflinching sound that perfectly encapsulates the rip-and-tear gameplay with its heavy beats and unrelenting ferocity, and Gordon even built a custom analog effects and audio-routing rig to turn the most brutal of sounds into harmonic violence. Gordon will be bringing that soundtrack with him when he hits the Radar Festival stage as a headline act in the UK next summer, and ahead of that performance
