You Might Need A Face Scan To Buy Pokemon Cards Soon, Thanks To Scalpers
Pokemon card scalpers are generally regarded as the worst part of the hobby, and in Japan, The Pokemon Company is taking steps to address the problem. As part of its crackdown to create a safe shopping environment, The Pokemon Company is introducing a facial recognition system for adult shoppers and children of a certain age. According to its website, this will be a mandatory measure for gaining access to a Pokemon Card Store, and customers may only enter a shop once per day. Preschoolers are not required to undergo a facial scan, but they do need to be accompanied by a guardian

The Original Pokemon Starters Are Ready To Make You Pokemoan
How does a sex toy shop stand out in the modern era of easily obtainable neck massagers and bedside buddies? The answer is surprisingly easy, as all you have to do is look at a popular IP and put in some elbow grease to transform that idea into a surprisingly cute nightstand buddy. Which is exactly what one company has done, with the return of its line of Pokemon--or Pokemoan--sex toys. And only 7 have sold more than 100,000 physical units so far in 2026. Piscatella also remarked that people should use their voice to comment on how much they might not like Sony's decision to kill physica

Darktide's gory animations are smarter than you think
What is the secret sauce of Darktide’s bonks, slashes, gashes, bumps, and thwumps? Pat asks the gunksmiths at Fatshark how they make smashing a pipe on a demon cultists head feel so meaningful. Melee combat is at the center of what makes Warhammer 40K: Darktide's gameplay feel good, and they've put a lot of thought into how enemies splatter into pieces and ragdoll into oblivion. Building on their work in Vermintide, the developers spill the secret sauce behind Darktide's gory combat.#warhammer #polygon

If You’re Not Ready For A Showcase, Nintendo, Don’t Force It
Nintendo's decision to host a Nintendo Direct this June befuddles me. The virtual showcase wasn't terrible, but it certainly didn't wow me either. Deltarune is very cool, so it was nice to see a release date for Chapter 5, and I'm sure plenty of folks are thrilled to jump back into Pokemon Pokopia with its new expansion pass. But the games that would have been this Direct's big hitters, Kingdom Hearts IV and a remake for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, got extremely short teasers that didn't drum up much hype (for me, anyway). The entire Direct felt somewhat lackluster, and I wonder why
