The wanted system in GTA 6 has been totally overhauled to give the police even more tools to hunt you, as well as new methods for players to evade being busted.

Nintendo's decision to host a Nintendo Direct this June befuddles me. The virtual showcase wasn't terrible, but it certainly didn't wow me either. Deltarune is very cool, so it was nice to see a release date for Chapter 5, and I'm sure plenty of folks are thrilled to jump back into Pokemon Pokopia with its new expansion pass. But the games that would have been this Direct's big hitters, Kingdom Hearts IV and a remake for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, got extremely short teasers that didn't drum up much hype (for me, anyway). In Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto franchise, players have been able to walk the streets while armed to the teeth without attracting attention from the non-player characters populating the world. However, the NPCs in Grand Theft Auto 6 will be considerably more preceptive than their counterparts in the earlier games. And that means packing weapons in public is going to come at a price. According to a GTA 6 preview in The New York Times, "a player in this one cannot whip out a shotgun or a rocket launcher and walk down the street without expecting the non-player characters to call the police."
