It took some time, but The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has finally crossed the $1 billion mark at the global box office.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is officially coming to Peacock on July 30. The streaming release date is now visible in a section of the Peacock website dedicated to Illumination’s Mario sequel. The sequel currently stands as the highest grossing movie of the year, and is the first and only 2026 release so far to have crossed over $1 billion at the box office. After earning $1 billion in theaters, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie will come to Peacock for streaming on July 30, the streamer has announced. This is just the latest way to watch the movie on your couch, as it previously came to premium video-on-demand services on May 19 and then on Blu-ray on June 16.
