Ghost Recon Phantoms offers players the ability to choose between three different classes of Ghost, customize their weapons, deploy cutting-edge military technology, and share intel with their team. Ghost Recon Online also features a rich lobby platform for hosting social and persistent progression features. Ubisoft also will back the game with a full set of services, including regular events and game content updates, customized content based on community feedback, and live support. Ushering in a level of online combat for the game formerly known as Ghost Recon Online, the 2014 re-release of this game under the Ghost Recon Phantoms moniker enhances the experience with updated characters and maps, and major changes in matchmaking and customization.

Ubisoft has confirmed that it will share what's next for Ghost Recon when it celebrates the series' 25th anniversary on August 6. This comes after several reports and rumors about upcoming Ghost Recon games emerged over the past month. On July 20, Insider Gaming reported on a leak of the Ghost Recon: Wildlands Definitive Edition, a current-generation remaster of the 2017 game that will add a new mission, support 4K resolution, and run at 60 frames per second. Ubisoft’s Next Ghost Recon Game Reportedly Running Into Big Problems
Last year, Ubisoft confirmed that it is developing a new Ghost Recon game, but a new report suggests that the project has been troubled and may face a "complete reboot or outright cancellation" if its problems can't be fixed. Insider Gaming is reporting that the next Ghost Recon, which is internally known as Project OVR, failed to meet Ubisoft's objectives during a recent review. Unnamed sources blamed the failure on "unrealistic deadlines and poor planning and management."
